No one really tells you how heavy postpartum can feel.
Yes, they say it’s beautiful. They say it’s worth it. And it is.
But what about the part after that?
What about the days when your body doesn’t feel like yours anymore?
What about the nights when you’re so tired, but your mind won’t rest?
What about the moments when you feel okay… and then suddenly, you’re not?
No one told me it would feel like this.
No one told me that I could feel grateful and overwhelmed at the same time.
That I could love my baby so much, but still feel lost within myself.
Why does it feel this heavy sometimes?
Is this normal?
Am I the only one feeling this way?
These are the questions that stay in my mind—and maybe you’re asking them too.

Sometimes, there are no clear answers.
Even now that my first two kids have grown, I still felt the same heaviness when I gave birth again after 8 years.
I thought it would be easier this time.
I already had experience. I already had two older children.
But why did it feel even harder?
Postpartum is not just physical.
It’s emotional. Mental. Deep.
As a teacher, it became difficult for me to adjust.
I had to give up things I used to do. There were so many limitations.
I was used to being active, busy, always doing something.
But after giving birth, everything changed—and that change affected me more than I expected.
And not everyone talks about this.
Before, if you didn’t open up, no one would.
Only a few would understand, and some would think it’s just for sympathy.
So if you’re here, reading this, and you feel the same…
Maybe we’re not really alone in this.
Maybe we’re just mothers going through something no one prepared us for.
Cuddle by Mommy.
A space where we slowly understand these things—together. 💙
